Sodium Chloride Injection, USP 0.9%, also known as Saline solution, is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, aqueous solution of sodium chloride. It is indicated for administration to maintain fluid and electrolyte balance in patients. This isotonic preparation has a pH of approximately 6.5 to 7.5, and its osmolarity is approximately 290 milliosmoles per liter (mOsm/L).
